This is a absolutely beautiful location. While the decor is dated, the rooms are spacious and very clean. Front desk staff is very friendly. This would be a 5 star review except-
– Areas like the pool bar that were listed as open were closed
– We ate at the only restaurant open (Grille). The service was very slow. We ordered chips and salsa, a wedge salad, and a cheeseburger. The salsa was not good, and our server didn’t seem to notice the untouched plate when we asked her to take it back. The lettuce on the wedge salad was wilted, and after one bite it was apparent the blue cheese dressing had gone bad. Again, she never came to ask how things were or notice an untouched plate. The hamburger was ok, but certainly not worth the price paid for it.
– Hot water in the shower was more lukewarm.

If they could get the F&B situation squared away, I could easily overlook the other stuff. But bad food before a golf round doesn’t make for the best ending to an otherwise wonderful vacation.
