I'm an event coordinator for a writing organization and we had an excellent conference at this hotel.
The rooms are good. The beds are reasonably comfortable. There is a little refrigerator in each room, which is very nice.
The website had listed that there were a couple of restaurants on site but they hadn't been open since before COVID. When I brought it to their attention they were lying to customers, it went down in record time to reflect that as of this moment there is just the breakfast that you get along with the room.
Now let's talk about the breakfast buffet. They do not know how to make coffee. Please do yourself a favor and bring your own. Also, the hash browns and eggs were cold despite being in a steam table and having all the appearance of hot food. Perhaps it was an illusion. But if they could take the over hotness of the coffee and average it with the tepid temperature of the eggs and potatoes, they might have everything just about right in terms of temperature. The eggs were powdered and not worth eating. Someone told me they could have used the biscuits as a projectile and given someone a concussion. I can't tell you that because I didn't try the biscuits. One person also said that even though they went in write it opening time, the waffle iron was not sufficiently hot and so her waffle split and made a giant mess.
We do have some issues around things that are supposed to be there that are not or are not at that time. Yes there is technically a hot tub, but as per the norm it was not working when I was there. I really wonder if any hot tub anywhere actually ever works or if it's just there for show. It sounds really nice on the website to have a hot tub, but it's not nice when it doesn't work. I cannot tell you about the pool, as I didn't bother using that area since I couldn't have my hot tub.
The breakfast buffet was to open at 7:00 but did not open until 7:30. I was told this by some of my fellow attendees who were there right at the stated opening.
Take note that there are two entrances. Don't be put off by the one that has stairs because there's one with flat access in the back. Remember that this is in Branson where there are many hills! So when you go around to the back you'll have the flat entrance and the luggage carts.
The luggage carts really need to be replaced. They are next to impossible to maneuver, especially for anybody traveling on your own. I have one hand busy with my guide dog and if I hadn't had the help of a staff member one of the times I needed to use the card, I would have taken a very long time to get it to go anywhere.
But we found the staff to be personable and helpful. We like the venue well enough to rebook for our future events.
I can tell you as a blind person traveling with a guide dog, I had no issues about my dog and there were at least three other service dogs in the building during the time I was there. We should not have any problems, and as far as I'm aware nobody had any. This is good and all as it should be.
