Kick off your mornings with music & entertainment!

Goldwing Express is a bluegrass, country, and gospel band that is originally from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. The band consists of three brothers and their father. Their mother, Juanita, who was a full-blood Native American Creek Indian, named the band “GoldWing Express” after their hobby of riding Goldwing Motorcycles in the 80’s. When their children were young, they decided to buy the boy’s instruments. Thirty-nine years later, they are still entertaining. A segment of their performance is often dedicated to their Indian Heritage and they wear Native American headdresses to represent their Creek Indian tribe.

In Nashville, TN, Goldwing Express was nominated for Bluegrass Entertaining Band of the Year by SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) from 2003-2006 and in South Texas won the Valley Star Family Entertaining Band of the Year in Rio Grande Valley, Texas for 4 years.

Bob Baldridge, the patriarch of the family, plays mandolin and sings lead for the group. He also provides a lot of comedy for the Goldwing Express. His music career began in the early 70’s with his brothers and sister. The family would gather at the grandmother’s house and have all-day signings. Bob eventually wanted to form his own family band. Then came Paul, Steven, and Shawn.

Join us on fall mornings at 10am in the Indoor Playhouse Theater for bluegrass music and hilarious entertainment!

This was my first visit and my husband’s second to Shephard of the Hills. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The meal although not great , the service was exceptional! The group that sang did a phenomenal job and in addition to being talented in singing were very funny ! We are happy to hear of the father’s continued health and will pray for it to remain positive. We thought we would walk to the show itself and got lost a couple of times then finally decided the best path was riding the tram although the swinging bridge was fun for us older folks at night ! The show and all the actors were extremely friendly. A heads up loud blank guns would be used during presentation would have been nice , but other than that it was great!

Hadn't been here since I was a kid. Now we brought 4 of our kids up for the Pumpkin Festival. The ambiance was great, the mountain coaster was fun, and the ropes course was fun. The walk to the parking lot was brutally long, which made going back to the car for lunch tough. In the evening, we did the "Whodunnit" dinner, which was a huge hit with my wife, my 14 year old, and my 9 year old. It was a bit over my 7 year old's and 5 year old's heads. All in all, fun time. Views are spectacular.

We saw two dinner shows at SOTH. The shows were the best! The staff was very helpful and accommodating with my mother who is in a wheelchair. The only thing that was not outstanding was the food. The chicken was very dry, the BBQ sauce tasted like is was 99% vinegar. The potato soup was bland. If they made the food better, it would be 5 stars easy!

Good old fashioned fun... We haven't laughed that hard in a long time... Pay no attention to the reviews that say the food is bad... It's a dinner theater... Not fine dining... And it was a 7 out of 10 at least... And knowing it was a dinner theater we were pleasantly surprised at how good it really was... Let's put it this way we paid $25 plus tax and tip per person at Starving Arvin's buffet... And we would never do that again. This was 10 times the quality of Starvin Arvin's. The show was exactly what we expected. If you're in the right frame of mind to participate in some cheesy humor... Lighten up and enjoy you will have a great time 5 stars!!! Great job cast and crew
